The Poetry Exchange talks to people from all walks of life about the poem that has been a friend to them. In this special recorded live event for SkyLines festival, poets Rishi Dastidar and Roz Goddard will speak with hosts Fiona Bennett and Michael Shaeffer about the poems that have played a vital part in their lives.

The Poetry Exchange podcast reaches listeners around the world and recently won Silver for ‘Most Original Podcast’ at the British Podcast Awards. 


About the Speaker(s):

A poem from Rishi Dastidar’s debut Ticker-tape was included in The Forward Book of Poetry 2018. A second collection, Saffron Jack, was published in 2020, and he is editor of The Craft: A Guide to Making Poetry Happen in the 21st Century; all three titles are published by Nine Arches Press. He is also co-editor of Too Young, Too Loud, Too Different: Poems from Malika’s Poetry Kitchen (Corsair).


Roz Goddard is a poet and teacher. Lost City was published in 2020 by The Emma Press. She is a former poet laureate of Birmingham. Spill, was published by Flarestack Poets in 2018. The Sopranos Sonnets and other poems, published by Nine Arches Press was featured on BBC R3’s The Verb. She was a finalist for The Moth Poetry Prize, 2022. She is currently training for ordination in the Triratna Buddhist Order.
